4 Simple Tips to Healthy Nails

 

Chipping and peeling nails got you down? Sometimes it seems like no matter how carefully you apply the polish, it doesn’t last! Here are tips for caring for your nails.

1. Avoid fragranced lotions like the plague in the winter!  If you can smell it, it contains alcohol which leads to drying and chaffing.

2. Be sure to protect your nails with a base or top coat  with nail strengthener. Taking this important extra step locks in the moisture your nails need to stay healthy.

3. When your nail polish starts to chip, it’s best to remove it completely and repaint your nails. As your polish chips, bits of your nails flake off with it!

4. Applying cuticle cream to your tips is a crucial step in your beauty regimen. Using cuticle creams keeps your cuticles moisturized, healthy, and protected from the elements.

Step 1: Prep the skin with eye cream and an eye primer to help your eye makeup to adhere all day long.

Step 2: Using a fluffy powder brush, apply powder on the cheeks towards the ears. Remember, less is more when using a luminizing powder.

Step 3: Apply a shimmering pressed bronzer on the forehead, down the nose, on the cheeks and along the jawline.

Step 4: Using a fluffy blending brush , apply light beige eyeshadow, right underneath the brow bone. In the inner corners of the eyes, apply a green shade  eyeshadow a , using a flat eyeshadow brush. On the outer corners of the eyes, apply a vibrant royal blue eyeshadow . Blend out the edges for a gradiation effect using a fluffy crease brush. On the bottom lash line, apply the same green shade eyeshadow.

Step 5: Apply the eyeliner , a vibrant teal green, along the upper lashlines.

Step 6: Curl the lashes and apply 1-2 coats of mascara.

Step 7: To finish the look, apply lip gloss to the lips.

And you’re finished!
